UNIT 8 ASSIGNMENT 2

RAYYAN MEHMOOD

, Introduction- Throughout this assignment I will be discussing the business Tesco. Tesco is a
well- known company across the UK. Tesco are a multi-billion-pound company and have a
huge number of employees that work across all their branches in the UK. Tesco have over
360,000 colleagues and have been about from the 1920s. they’re a very well-established
business and are know all over the UK, especially for their grocer products.
In this assignment I will present my research on Tesco and analyse the requirements of a
selected job role which I will choose. I will then compile my own job portfolio in which
would contain documents that would help with my application for the job. My chosen job
role was marketing manager. The role of a marketing manager is crucial because they’re
responsible for managing the promotion and positioning of a brand or business. In this
scenario, Tesco is the company that I will be applying to. The purpose of the report is to
analyse the recruitment and selection process.
Job Analysis
The job that I will be analysing is the role of a Marketing Manager. The purpose of a
marketing manager is someone who tracks, analyses, and reports the activities of an
individual or a company. They also look for ways that they can improve the business they
own or work for. This can be done by promoting new designs or products into the market.
One responsibility a marketing manager has it to be in control of a team that helps them do
their job. This is a responsibility because they have to look out for the people on their team
and take accountability for their mistake if they’re made. Another responsibility that a
marketing manager has it to make sure that everything is checked thoroughly before being
sent into the market or online. This is due to the fact that they represent a big business that
has a big name, so everything has to be done in a way that represents the purpose of the
business.
The annual salary range for a marketing manager starts at 30,000 pounds and can go up to
70,000 pounds a year.
