Create an asynchronous online lesson using on the topic below. Further instructions are included in the
lesson template in Section B. (Preferably use a Google Classroom) Plan a suitable lesson for Grade 2
learners to teach the number operation (either addition, subtraction, division or multiplication) linked to
place value, using the decomposing or regrouping strategy. Show how you would include the three
levels (concrete, semi-concrete, 16 and abstract) in your planning to develop conceptual understanding.
Use base ten models in the concrete level or similar resources to show regrouping.

PHASE MATHEMATICS (FMT3701)

Create an asynchronous online lesson for Foundation Phase Mathematics
Asynchronous online learning allows students to view instructional materials at
any time they choose and does not include a live video lecture component
Asynchronous interaction happens when information can be exchanged independent
of time. It doesn't require the recipient's immediate attention, allowing them to
respond to the message at their convenience. Examples of asynchronous
communication are Google classroom, Edmodo, canvas, and Moodle.




Use Google Classroom to plan and teach a suitable lesson for Grade 2 learners
to teach the number operation (either addition, subtraction, division or
multiplication) linked to place value, using the decomposing or regrouping
strategy. Show how you would include the three levels (concrete, semi-concrete,
and abstract) in your planning to develop conceptual understanding. Use base ten
models in the concrete level or similar resources to show regrouping.
