Impact of social media on the constitutional right to Privacy
According to section 14 of the Constitution of South Africa of 1996, the
right to privacy is protected by common law in South African Law. While
social media plays an important role in our modern civilization, providing
a convenient way to communicate and establish social status, there are
concerns about individuals' privacy when sharing personal information
with companies or store markets for financial gain, as well as the
likelihood of being monitored or badgered by advertisements. A person's
