Course Aims:

1. Firstly to evaluate the students speaking and listening ability.
2. To increase the students speaking based on his interests and focus on the
pronunciation, fluency and vocabulary.
3. Improve the students work-related vocabulary and listening skills.
4. To increase his listening skills by listening for a gist and details.


Course Outcomes
1. Improve his listening and speaking by talking about his likes and dislikes of his
home country and also through various small talk with his teacher, such as
talking about his family , friends ,and even his work.
2. Improved his listening abilities such as listing for a gist and details by watch
movie trailers ( IN ENGLISH)and completing short Q&A based on the trailers.
3. Improved his speaking ability in work related environments , by doing some
role-play and answering some questions in a role-play interview.
4. Bettered his listening and vocabulary in work-related situations, with Q&A
questions.

 Why you have chosen this syllabus type?

I choose a Multi-syllabus , because I feel that to focus on both speaking and
listening skills. Grammar-based lessons were excluded from the first 5 hours but if
any grammatical errors made will be corrected immediately or during the
feedback stage.

The multi-syllabus targets speaking and listening and address problems
throughout. This is important since in the interview Alberto has difficulty with
listening for gist and detail from the speaker, when she is asking the questions. He
also seems to lack confidence in speaking and struggles to find the correct words
to phrase his sentences.
The student said he is confident in his writing skills ,however I did include reading
and writing tasks in the first five hours of the course to evaluate the student’s
ability to read and write to adapt the syllabus if necessary.
