This report presents the study, design and making of a power electronic DC-DC converter powering a floodlight load. The wholes system makes up a MPPT solar charge controller. The report comprises of improvements from the first and second phase report. Specifications of solar panel, battery, load and converter are given. MATLAB software is a good choice for modelling and system control, due to that ability it has been selected to design and model the MPPT solar charger. This report shows a completed simulation with the real value components namely battery, led floodlight as a resistive load resistor of 9.8 Ω , a 12V nominal voltage with capacitor of 5. 4ah.Multiple scenarios for a converter are shown when the battery state of charge (SOC) is at different levels, the system is tested at different step change of voltages, and it is observed that it does not go to a unstable state. The system is also tested that when the solar panel voltage goes to zero the load is turned on. A second bidirectional converter is used, because the battery charges when the is input voltage in from the PV panel and discharges when the is none, this converter complete the battery control unit. A PI controller is also used in a battery control part. The function of this controller is to generate the duty signal with a error applied to its input
