,DEFINITION OF HRM
HRM is the management of people working in an organization, it
is a subject related to human. For simplicity, we can say that it
is the management of humans or people.
HRM is a Managerial function (Managerial functions:
Planning, organizing, Staffing, Leading, Directing,
Coordinating, Controlling) that tries to match an
organization’s needs to the skills and abilities of its
employees. Human Resource Management is responsible for
how people are managed in organizations.
It is responsible for bringing people in organization helping them
performing their work, compensating them for their work and
solving problems that arise.
, IMPORTANCE OR NATURE OF HRM
Nature Human Resource Management is a process of
bringing people and organizations together so that the goals
of each are met. The various features of HRM include:
i) It is pervasive in nature as it is present in all enterprises.
ii) Its focus is on results rather than on rules.
iii) It tries to help employees develop their potential.
IV) It encourages employees to give their best to the
organization.
v) It is all about people at work, both as individuals and
groups.
