This essay focuses specifically on analysing the micro- and macro-environment of the Mr
Price Group Limited.
Mr Price Group Limited, is a publicly traded omni-channel fashion retailer based in South
Africa. Founded in 1985, Mr Price opened in 1987 after the owners bought a controlling
interest in John Orrs Holdings, whose trading divisions at the time were The Hub and
Miladys. The Company operates through four segments: Apparel, Home, Financial Services
and Telecoms & has a retail distribution through 1721 corporate-owned stores, 8 franchised
stores in the rest of Africa and its online channels.
