It is commonly accepted that reading books improves literacy and general
knowledge. Similarly, having a good grasp of language can lead to greater
success in other subjects, such as maths, social sciences, life skills and so
on.
I do agree with the above statement.
Decoding symbols to arrive at meaning is part of the cognitive process of reading.
Reading is a deliberate process that involves creating word meanings (What is

to focus their attention and guide information towards a specific objective (What is
