1.2. The process of modifying or adapting the curriculum according to
the different ability levels of the learners in the classroom. It is a
strategy that teachers can use with a view to provide meaningful
learning experiences for all learners. Differentiation takes
account of learner differences and matches curriculum content
and teaching and assessment methods to learning styles and
learner needs and characteristics. It may focus on input, task,
outcome, output, response, resources, or support

As a teacher, to provide curriculum differentiation in teaching mathematics, I
can use methods such as providing choices in class, I use a variety of
resources in teaching it, I teach and re-teach to make sure that students
understand, creating heterogeneous groupings which help students to learn
from each other easily, and use of self-directed learning.
