Question 1
Divide the numerator, which is 3 by the denominator, which is 8, to get an integer which is 0.
Then write the ‘’,’’ after the 0.
3÷8=0 (Note down) 0.
Add 0 to the numerator which makes it 30, divide the new numerator with the denominator
again which gives us a whole number 3 and a remainder of 6.
30 ÷ 8 = 3 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 6 (Note down the 3) 0.3
we add a 0 to the new numerator which will make it 60, divide it by 8 which gives you 7 with
a remainder of 4.
60 ÷ 8 = 7 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 4 (Note down the 7) 0.37
we add 0 to the new numerator to give us 40 then divide it with the denominator to give us 5
with no remainder. therefore 0,375 is the answer

40 ÷ 8 = 5 𝑛𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 (Note down the 5) 0.375

Question 2
Multiply the whole number, which is 6, by the denominator, which is 3, and add this answer
to the numerator, which is 2 to compute a new numerator, with the denominator staying the
6×3+2 18+2 20
same: 3 = 3 = 3

Question 3
Divide the numerator, which is 19 by the denominator, which is 4, to get an integer of 4 and a
remainder of 3. Write down the integer and next to it the remainder over the original
3
denominator. 4 4
