It is important to note that planning is subjective but the
formats are standard. You need to learn these formats for
your examination as they will not be provided. Below you
will find pointers for assignment 1, for those of you wishing
to start.

oral presentations are covered in Unit 10.

By now you would have read over your assignment one instructions due
22 March. UNISA will send you additional guidelines (if they have not
done so already). I have attached a breakdown of what is expected, but
this should be used in conjunction with your tutorial letters.
Please make sure that you have read though Tutorial letter 301
thoroughly before attempting the assignment. This letter contains
important information on layout and referencing.
Please note the following general guidelines:
• You must submit in PDF format. Make sure it is not password
protected and is not a “read only” copy.
• All pages must be numbered and these must correspond with your
table of contents.
• You need to make use of both “in text” referencing and citing of
your sources at the end of your assignment.
• You need to use ARIAL font and either double or 1.5 line spacing.
• There should be no underlining in your assignment.
• Don’t overdo quotes and references.
• Paraphrase and use your own words to show insight and analysis
of information.
• Your declaration, pulled out of TUT301, needs to be referenced.
• Use formal language!
ASSIGNEMENT ONE BREAKDOWN- 150 marks
QUESTION ONE- 15 marks
There are videos available under additional resources. You need to
watch these videos and answer the five questions based on them.
QUESTION TWO- 50 marks
This is an essay writing question. Your essay needs to be descriptive.
This essay is based on the scenario which discusses ethical challenges
in the work place. You need to use the scenario as a starting point to
develop an essay where you show insight and provide practical
examples. You need to make use of additional resources when
