1. What is your opinion regarding the use of steroids and supplements in school sport?

 Learners who use steroids also appear to be at higher risk for using other drugs, such as
alcohol or cocaine, often to counteract some of the negative effects of steroids.
 Some users may become aggressive or combative, believe things that aren't true
(delusions), or have extreme feelings of mistrust or fear (paranoia).
 A lot of learners tell themselves they'll only use steroids for a season or a school year
(Sports). Unfortunately, steroids can be addictive, making it hard to stop taking them.
 Some students continue to take steroids because they think it gives them a competitive
advantage. As seen in high-profile cases, if an athlete is caught using steroids, his or her
career can be destroyed
 Depression has also been linked to steroid use, and athletes who use performance-
enhancing steroids are more likely to attempt suicide than athletes who do not use them.
 To become physically addicted to steroids in the sense that the body will adapt to and
become dependent on regular steroid abuse to continue performing that the same
physical level.
 Steroid use is not a safe practice, especially among younger students who are technically
still not finished fully developing.
 Men will have testicular atrophy and libido problems, and women will have abnormal
periods and changes in their normal hormonal balance.
 Using performance-enhancing steroids can have serious, long-term health consequences.
 Steroid and growth hormone use tend to promote a muscular appearance in users.
 Getting kicked off a high school sports team for a drug-related offense may impact your
teen’s chances of obtaining an athletic scholarship to college

2. Which are the most common posture problems? How could you correct these
problems?

Round upper back (Kyphosis) Exercise can be done to improve round shoulders.
Hollow back (Lordosis) Exercise can be done to strengthen abdominal muscles.
Lateral curvature (Scoliosis) Exercise can be done to improve functional scoliosis.
