A psychometrist, Sandra, is newly employed by a fully online organisation,
BMM inc. They deliver online services through the internet, emailing and social
media. Sandra has been tasked to assess whether new applicants will fit into
the virtual working environment. There are no psychological instruments
available to assess this.
Explain to Sandra each step to follow to develop a new instrument from
scratch, according to Moerdyk (2015).(13 marks)

Fully describe what the requirements are to register at the Health
Professions
Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a:
a. Psychometrist
(3 marks)
Registration as a Psychometrist is contingent on completion of: a) An
accredited four (4) year Bachelor's degree in Psychology (BPsych) or a
BPsych Equivalent in Psychology or related Psychology field (for example,
Industrial or Educational Psychology) that incorporates an approved 6 month
or 720-hour face-to-face practicum
b. Psychologist
(3 marks)
A four-year bachelor of psychology professional degree approved by the
HPCSA. An approved six-month/720-hour face-to-face practicum, or an
equivalent of not more than 12 months part-time practicum. Successful
completion of the National Examination of the Professional Board for
Psychology
Question 3:
a. Provide a critical conceptualization of fairness as opposed to bias.
