INTRODUCTION In the following essay the researcher will use theories namely on the international flow of news to critically explain the imbalance, the news flow, news coverage in undeveloped and developed countries and use online news articles to support the argument. 1.1 News flows in different direction 1.1.1 Structural inequality According to Lesame and Wigston (2009:101) structural inequality ‘’ is considered a major feature of the direction, contents and volumes of information’’. Structural inequality is concerned with digital divide which is the divide between those who have access to internet and computers and those who don’t have access.
