, QUESTION 1

IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO PRIVACY.

In terms of section 14 of the constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996. Everyone has the
right to privacy. In the modern society, the social media has dominated the application of the
constitution. The constitutional rights are no longer taken into consideration, the privacy of the
individuals has now been made public without their consent. The abuse of social media has
impacted negatively on the constitutional right to privacy. Information that is meant to be kept as a
secret it is now been layed on the public space to be accessed by whoever is will to access it. For the
social media platforms such as facebook and whatssapp to have access to your personal data in your
desktop or mobile device and use that data to promote their business, not only to promote their
business but also to monitor your private life, it is not right. Even though it is done at the consent of
the subscriber, it is against the privacy of the user. It is therefore has a bad impact on the
constitutional right to privacy.

IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION

In terms of section 16 of the constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996. Everyone has the
right to freedom of expression. Social media is a good platform for an individual to express their
opinion. Social media has made the voice of people to be heard. The impact is positive, we see even
the law enforcement officials been exposed on social medial for their abuse of power and the voice
of the victims are heard as the justice is served. Social media users can now express their ideas and
their creativity.

IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON RACISM

Social media is not doing anything to stop or rather to prevent the act of racism. On a daily bases
there is always a hate speech that is based on skin colour. Racism affects both the young and the
old. Not to mention the damage it is causing to the unity of society. There is no person who is born a
racist. Racism is taught and injected in the mind of a person from the early stages of the childhood
and when these people have grown old they express their emotions on social medial to promote
hatred toward each other. The impact of social media on racism is negative.

QUESTION 2

IMPACT OF CORRUPTION ON SERVICE DELIVERY

There is no community that can have adequate service delivery when it is under a corrupt
government. Corruption delays the development of the country. There are communities that are still
using buckets toilet of which puts their health at risk. If there was no corruption many of these
toilets would have been eradicated by now and developed to a new system of safe flushing toilets.
Service delivery depends largely on the faithfulness of those who are on the leadership position.
When the leaders are corrupt, the delivery of service will be affected. Criminal behaviours are
increasing on a daily bases because of corrupt officials who are taking bribe from the criminals.
Corrupt officials must be put behind bars.
