My company called CORONA recruitment has been approached by the Sports Institute of
South-Africa (SIOSA) to assist in a work appointment. The position is that of Head Soccer
Coach at the Institute. The focus of the position will be that of recruiting , mentoring and
coaching of soccer players at the Institute. SIOA has a shortlist of 10 candidates BUT would
like Corona recruitment to help them setup a series of questions to help them identify the
most suitable prospect for the work application.
This position is not only that of coach but also that of mentor and life coach. Therefore a
psychological interview WITH questionare will be a great and important tool for the
shortlisting committee to use while interviewing the 10 candidates.
Some of the work requirements will include, and help us to setup the Interview questions. :
A degree in Sports Psychology
Good leadership and communication skills
Self Motivation and Goal driven
Strong and driven in task planning and completion
Vision and “big picture” teamwork orientated
Adaptable and a “team builder and teamplayer”
Goalsetting and planning.for the team and SIOSA

want, RATHER than simply answer “yes” or “no” Open-ended questions encourage you to

2. What approaches will I use ?
a)The Ecosystemic Approach
The ecosystemic approach is based on the interaction between an individual and their
surroundings. The ecosystem approach is will be important because the successful applicant will
be working in a competitive environment and varied situations.
An epistemology refers to a particular way of thinking, which determines how we know and
understand the world around us.(Bateson, 1979; Tomm, 1984; Chalton,2010). It emphasises a
particular way of thinking and rests on a certain way of thinking and knowing.
