The flow of lymph is controlled through lymphatic vessels because there are valves that travel one-way to guarantee the lymph is flowing towards the heart. The lymph is able to flow from the lymphatic capillaries to the lymphatic vessels. Allowing the lymph to continue flowing through lymphatic ducts into the circulatory system. What observations did you make regarding the lymphatic system of the fetal pig? In regards to the lymphatic system of the fetal pig I was able to create many observations. Observations such as, the lymhatic system being difficult to find in the body then some of the other systems of the fetal pig. I was able to observe that the organs such as the spleen and the thymus are easier to find then the lymphatic vessels and nodes. 2. Compare and contrast the vessels of the lymphatic system and the circulatory system. The similarities and differences the lymphatic and circulatory system are as it follows.Some of the differences between these two systems are that the circulatory system has to pump the heart pushing blood throughout the body. While the lymphatic system relies on contraction of the skeletal muscles, lymphatic vessels, and the thoracic pressure pump to move lymph throughout the body. While, they are also similarities between these two systems as they both have one-way valves. This is so that fluids are able to move to prevent backflow. Both the lymphatic and circulatory system take a part in the immunity system. Which, both help to take part in keeping the body defended against bacteria and viruses.
