, Let us first recap
• One way of indicating absolute location is by referring to
the degrees of latitude and longitude of a place - the
geographical coordinate system
• The units of measurement used are:
– Degrees
– Minutes
– Seconds
• It should always be indicated which direction the latitude
and longitude is from the origin
• Latitude should be indicated as North or South,
and longitude as East or West of the origin (0º,0º)
