The medical center resides along the east side of the Chestnut River. The objective is to provide a convincing solution in advance of an actual patient need. Promoting the hospital in physician practice reception areas and exam rooms as well as engaging referral services and offering same day scheduling would increase the branding for the facility. With all our goals in mind for ECRH we now need strategies to achieve our goals. First, we need to integrate our marketing plans, initiatives and efforts with the appropriate objectives of our strategic plan. Second, we promote our plans, initiatives and efforts in a manner that appeals our board of directors. Lastly, we inform the stakeholders who benefit from our marketing strategies about the value ECRH provides to their lives, businesses and communities. Using these steps helps you attain advanced levels of effectiveness, promote a C-level perspective, and ensure that marketing programs result in enhanced customer and shareholder value (Rendel, J., 2010). Having so many doctors retiring, we will hire new doctors. Having new staff saves us money to help fund both patients that are unable to afford care and help in the renovating and assistance in maintaining the care of the facility. This helps our efforts toward building better relationships with our customers, as well as our strategic goals for growth. We want our patients to know that we care for their well-being. We do need to properly train these physicians so that our patients are happy with the service we provide. Collaborating with businesses of new technology, genetic counselors and laboratories also Tactics and Implementation Page 3 helps bring in income. Having new devices for patients will increase the amounts of patients we receive and therefore increase our revenue. Genetic counselors are also a great way to increase our patients. Even if there is the slightest chance of having a gene for cancer, people will want to be tested for it. That brings us to laboratories that perform the test. These tests are highly expensive so not only will the laboratories make money working with us, but we will also. We now need to promote ECRH. Not only do we need to promote ourselves to patients but also to those companies we want to collaborate with. When working with new technology, they usually are selling themselves to us. However, we want them to know that having their technology in our hands will make them look good also. Even our physicians, we must sell ourselves. To be the best we need to have the best physicians to take care of our patients. We can start these incoming physicians with bonuses to give them incentives to work with us rather than other hospitals. Having great physicians is a great selling point to our patients. They want the best care and they will receive that with the best doctors and technology that we have to offer. Cost is always a factor so having special events like free PSA exams, or Diabetes check every few months could help those that cannot afford these tests. Even free OB exams, every six months to increase our popularity with patients. We want to communicate with them that we care, and they should choose our facility. We won’t be having them too often where we would lose money, but often enough to help with our reputation. There has been a long-standing joint venture the national insurance company for commercial insurance. The Chestnut Care insurance has a strong presence, of the 30% of commercial pay, 20% is Chestnut Care based. The nation insurance used it Aetna, the next strongest is Anthem. The 15% of those using Medicaid has helped the hospital gain additional disproportionate share dollars, which helps with the facility. Non-profit hospitals operate in areas with high average income, lower poverty rates, and lower rates of un-insurance than for-profit hospitals. (Sesana 2016)
