, An autobiographical sketch to introduce myself to the reader, including my
Personal Learning Environment.
My name is……... I was born on 03 June 1990. My parents are …… and …….. My father
is deceased. He left us long time ago when I was only 10 years old and was still in primary
school. I have 4 younger siblings, ……., ………., ……….. and ……….. I had a happy and
normal childhood, growing up I used to enjoy playing and learning with other kids, until I
reached my adulthood. I attended School in ………….. at ………. primary from grade R
until grade 5, then I went to ……….. High school, I started from grade 8 until grade 12
(Matric), While there I participated in school choir music that I really loved and enjoyed so
much. I also studied at ……….. college where I graduated and got a Diploma in Financial
Management.
I am currently studying Bachelor of Education at the University of ……………... The
number one reason I chose to become a teacher is because I enjoy seeing children
progress and learn new concepts. Further, I want to make a difference in the lives of
children, especially children who may not have the love and support at home that will help
them to achieve greatness. I also like being in the classroom to teach and motivate
learners. It had been always my dream to become a teacher. I was inspired by my
teachers from small grades as well as in High school who had a positive impact on me.
They were so professional and dedicated to their work and made sure we learn effectively
and pass our subjects very well. I strive to bring the same passion to my learners when I
am a teacher.
I am very motivated to create the best future for myself, and have worked very hard to set
that up. As I'm continuing with my studies, I hope to achieve more in life.
