fundraising event. A printing company charges a once-off setup fee of R30, together with R6
for every pack printed. Each completed pack is sold for R10.

Let n represent the number of packs that are printed and sold.

1.1 Determine the following expressions in their simplest form:

1.1.1 Total printing cost, C(n)

The total cost consists of the fixed setup charge plus the printing cost for each pack.

C(n) = 30 + 6n




1.1.2 Total income, I(n)

Income is calculated by multiplying the selling price per pack by the number of packs sold.

I(n) = 10n
