 QUESTION 1

1.1. Create a one-page script of a children’s story including three characters. It is meant for a
should digital storytelling podcast episode for children between 4 and 10 years old. The podcast
script should have a moral at the end.

Podcast Script: “The Little Helpers”
(For topics: Under the sea, Climate change, Transport, People who help us)

Version 1: Under the Sea
Theme: Friendship and sharing

Characters:
 Coral (a small pink octopus)
 Finn (a young clownfish)
 Marina (a wise old sea turtle)

(Sound effect: Gentle waves and bubbles popping)

Narrator: Under the sparkling blue sea, Coral the octopus loved collecting shiny shells. But she never
wanted to share them.

Coral: (excited) These shells are all mine! Finn can’t have any.

Narrator: Finn the clownfish swam by, looking sad.

Finn: (quietly) Coral, may I borrow one shell to decorate my rock? Just one.

Coral: (firmly) No! Go away.

Narrator: Just then, Marina the turtle swam slowly towards them.

Marina: (kindly) Coral, remember when you were little and lost your favourite shell? Finn helped
you find it. Sharing brings joy to two hearts, not just one.

Coral: (thinking) I… I never thought of that.

Narrator: Coral opened her arms – all eight of them – and gave Finn the shiniest shell.

Coral: Here, friend. I’m sorry.

Finn: (happy) Thank you, Coral!

(Sound effect: Happy bubbles and gentle music)

Narrator: Coral learned that sharing makes the sea a happier place for everyone.
