1.1. Identify the population and sample in this study. Support your answer with reference to the
Eastern Cape context.

 Population: All Intermediate Phase teachers within the specific district of the Eastern Cape
where the workshop was held.

 Sample: The group of teachers who actually attended the professional development workshop
and provided the data shown in the table (19 participants in total).

 Support/Context: In the Eastern Cape context, the population represents the broader
