stress disorder. Learners who experience discrimination from their teachers and fellow students
are more likely to have negative attitudes about school, and lower academic motivation and
performance. This results in poor performance in school and may cause depression, feelings of
neglect and end in dropping out of school and causing negative feelings towards school and
work environments in the future.
