HMEMS80 2026 SEMESTER 1 FEEDBACK FOR ASSIGNMENT 01
Dear HMEMS80 Runners
The HMEMS80 comrades’ marathon is proceeding well, and Assignment 1 was the first major hill you
had to climb. We are glad to see that all the “training” and “preparation” paid off. We are aware of the hard
work (most of) you had to put in towards completing this assignment and the anxieties you had to
overcome. We also know you have been waiting for this feedback in anticipation.
This feedback document provides you with general feedback on the assignment.
Assignment 1 consisted of two sections – a 10-point multiple-choice section and a literature review
section. The multiple-choice section was aimed at evaluating the content-related knowledge gained so
far in terms of plagiarism and APA referencing. The literature review section aimed to prepare you to do
scientific research. It was also an opportunity to practice your academic writing skills, which will be
evaluated again in Assignment 03 (POE).
Please use the general feedback provided in this document, as well as the specific feedback that you
have received on your own assignment, to learn and improve further on the knowledge, skills and
specific competencies related to the task of compiling a literature review. This feedback is a l s o
provided with the aim of helping you to improve on specific aspects before submitting the next written
assignment – which will be the Portfolio of Evidence (POE) or Assignment 03 which serves as the final
