FET History Classrooms
Effective teaching and learning in History depend fundamentally on the appropriate
selection and use of teaching media. Resources can be divided into instructional aids
(which teachers use to emphasise instruction) and learning aids which are placed at the
disposal of learners to facilitate learning. Resources can never replace the teacher but
should be carefully selected to enhance the teaching and learning process (Schoeman
& Dreyer 2017:18-19).
Didactical Considerations

factual knowledge, insight, attitudes, and skills. The CAPS document for History
