In terms of National Credit Act 34 of 2005 (NCA) the different forms of reckless credit
agreements in section 80 are;
1. Where the credit provider failed to conduct the required affordability assessment
before granting credit. Section 80(1)(a) states that a credit agreement is reckless if
the credit provider did not perform an assessment as required by section 81(2),
regardless of what the outcome of that assessment might have been.1
