Overview of Imperial France in the 19th Century. Infrastructure, Napoleon III, and territories lost during the Franco-Prussian war, as well as the effects and implications on the French from that loss.

Extensive notes on the French Revolution, and its effects and relations to government. The French Revolution's effects abroad and on other European nations. Declaration of the Rights of Man, the meaning behind the tricolor flag(s), difference that came about which separated the people from the King, and how nationalism relates to these themes/events.

Final lecture of the course, notes to wrap up the key takeaways from German and Italian Unification. Differences between the nations and how they became "Empire" and "Kingdom" respectively. Brief notes on the Second Industrial Revolution as well.
