o A disorder characterized by involuntary facial movements including twisting of
tongue, pouting, puckering, blepharospasm, bulging of cheeks, lip smacking
o Caused by long-term use of dopamine-blocking medication or antipsychotic med
o Treat with tetrabenazine
o Taper off/discontinue gradually or lessen dosage
o Report to HCP
o diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can help tx
