Analyse the information in the class summary. What are your learners’ strengths and weaknesses?
(max. 100 words)
The class summary shows the class overall strength to be reading where most of the students have scored a bang of 7.0.
According to the information provided in the class summary their listening and speaking skills are all overaged below a band
6 with writing being slightly higher with an average band score of 5.75. The class summary shows clearly that the students
are weak in their reading and listening skills, it also clearly shows that they have established good reading skills therefore
making reading their strength.

Which two skills have you chosen to teach in this lesson? Why? (minimum 150 words)
After scanning the class summary, I have chosen to teach or build on the students listening and speaking skills for this
particular lesson because they are more important skills to enhance because the IELTS final grade is weighted on a
combination of all four skills band scored and in the IELTS exam the two skills go hand-in-hand. These two skills are also
vital for good communication and making decisions in a daily, social and professional sense. Having a conversation without
being goof in one skill in a real life sense would result in bad and misunderstood communication. That is why I thought that
it would be important to build and strengthen these two skills that they are weaker on in the given summary.
Which lesson topic have you chosen? Why? (minimum 100 words)
I have decided to go with the topic ‘health and fitness’ rather than the others because I believe that it's a more popular and
relatable topic that all the students might already be familiar with. I also thought that it was a topic that all the students could
adapt with their motivations as the students have different motivations one of them being work, no one besides Anna has
specified what type of job they are working towards therefore would make the topic hard for every student to pay attention
to. I believe that with this topic everyone should have some interest or knowledge on the topic. Health is an issue everyone
will have to face at some point, so equipping students with the correct vocabulary might allow them to explain their health
