Introduction
Obesity is one of the most overlooked problems in the world today. It is seen very clearly
on social media that obesity is praised; especially when talking about the “courage” to post even
when they are overweight. This mindset has led some to think that they are ok being obese. In
reality, obesity is one of the most dangerous and/or strenuous conditions that someone could
have. The side effects of obesity are limitless, and some of them are even fatal: “It's a medical
problem that increases the risk of other diseases and health problems, such as heart disease,
diabetes, high blood pressure and certain cancers” (Mayo Clinic, 2021). Also, one of the biggest
problems with obesity in the recent past has been complications with Covid-19. Now with this
illness in the mix, it’s more important now more than ever to try to tackle this problem head on.
