A. Personal Values
Explain your top FOUR personal core values (e.g., accountability, honesty, integrity, respect,
loyalty, fairness, etc.) with detail on “why” they are personally meaningful to you (it is
recommended to use these words in your responses). (Unit 2: Module 2)
1. Honesty is one of my top four personal core values. Honesty is the refusal to tell a lie.
Honesty is personally meaningful to me because when a person is honest it is a clear
indication that they can be trusted. As well, I work in a maintenance field and work with
machinery and equipment that is dangerous to work on. If someone on my team is
dishonest it could affect the entire team as well as lead to someone getting injured.
2. The second of my top four personal core values is integrity. Integrity to me is the quality
of being honest and true even when nobody is around to verify. People that do the right
thing even when nobody is watching them are the kind of people I personally like to
surround myself with. As a supervisor of a maintenance department, I am not always
there to make sure my crew are doing what is needed of them. That’s why I look for
integrity when I am hiring, so I can rest assured that the people who work under me are
looking out for the best interest of the company.
3. Another top core value for me is respect. Respect is and admiration of a person’s abilities
as well as having regard for their feelings, wishes and traditions etc. This is personally
meaningful to me because respect is a two-way street. If you are respectful to an
individual, they will reciprocate and be respectful to you in return. And then if you are
working in a team setting with this individual you will get a lot more accomplished by
being respectful to one another.
4. My 4th and final top core value that is personally meaningful to me is loyalty. Loyalty to
me is remaining faithful to my relationship. This is meaningful to me and personal to me
because I am married. And without me and my wife having loyalty to one another then
our marriage wouldn’t be what it is today.
B. Compare Values
Evaluate EACH of your FOUR core values from Part A “align” or “misalign” (it is
recommended to use these words in your responses) to Alliah’s values and social responsibility.
1. My first core value of honesty aligns with those of Alliahs’ company. They’re committed
to ensuring that all of the employees and contractors and stakeholders are doing the right
thing. Being honest amongst each other and anybody in the business is a great starting
