and flag of the ANS -if there is no ceremony or conference held at the National Headquarter
Diamond Jubilee Pin - ANS--created in recognition of anyone who contributes of $1k or more to
the Delta Research and Education Foundation

-die was destroyed, discontinued after April 30, 1988
The 9 jewels and the Delta Oath are the embodiments of the ANS's fundamental principles.

The Millennium Pin was designed by ANS to honor big sisters who contributed at least $2,200
to the $1 Million Howard University Endowment Scholarship. -presented to Howard on the 90th
Anniversary of DST

Robes - ANS: Officers wear appropriate uniforms bearing the Delta emblem. -The robes of the
Jewels are red or crimson. Sacred Vow - ANS: Becoming a member of Delta Sigma Theta is a
lifelong commitment. ANS secrets are never written down and are only spoken about between
Deltas. Avoid shaking hands when in doubt. Sorority Colors - ANS-Crimson and Cream
(substitutes: red and white)

Sorority Crest (make up) - ANS-The crimson and cream composition includes:
-Minerva (the emblem), the goddess of wisdom, atop the shield
-Shield with the torch, sword, staff, and D S T on it -The Sword, represents truth, part of
Minerva's symbolism
- The Staff exemplifies effective leadership -Laurel Wreath is the symbol of achievement, mark
of honor, fame, distinction, glory, and victory as used by all the Greeks
Sorority Emblem - ANS-Emblem is the goddess Minerva (Pallas Athena), goddess of Wisdom
Sorority Flower - ANS-The violet (if no fresh ones, can use purple African violets or fake ones)
