Arkansas Cosmetology State Law
Aesthetician - ANS-way any person who engages in the practice of beautifying the frame by
way of cleansing, waxing, externally manipulating, or stimulating the body by the fingers,
gadgets, apparatus, or home equipment with or without using beauty preparations, antiseptics,
tonics, lotions, and lotions
Cosmetologist - ANS-method any individual who:
A: Engages in the exercise of cosmetology in a licensed cosmetological status quo, except the
department of electrolysis, or
B: Services a client in premises no longer certified as a cosmetological establishment whilst the
offerings rendered contain a unique event in which the cosmetology service is to be carried out
for an on-web site participation of the occasion
Cosmetologoical Establishment - ANS-method any premises, constructing, or a part of a
constructing wherein is practiced any department or any mixture of branches of cosmetology or
the career of a cosmetologist except:
A: The branch of manicuring as practiced in barbershops licensed by using the Cosmetology
Technical Advisory Commiee and complying wih the provisions of this bankruptcy
B: Nursing centers
Cosmetology Technical Advisory Committee - ANS-Shall consist of SEVEN participants,
appointed by means of the State Board of Health to TWO YEAR terms
A member shall not serve extra than TEN years on the committee
Committee contributors must be as a minimum 25 years of age
One member will be an authorized cosmetologist actively engaged in working towards the
artwork of cosmetology for a t least 5 years
One member shall be a certified nail tech
One member shall be the owner of an authorized college of cosmetology or shall be a director
of cosmetology at a country supported school
One member shall be a certified aesthetician
