Popular Versus Scholarly
I selected the Scholarly/Peer Reviewed box in the library OneSearch when searching for
scholarly articles. To further confirm, I checked the authors of the articles as well as the
publishing medium. When searching for popular sources, I left the scholarly/peer-reviewed box
in OneSearch unchecked and narrowed my search to popular source publishing mediums such as
newspapers and magazines. When selecting an article, I checked it against the Week 2 Scholarly
vs Popular source tip sheet. This helped me determine if the article was scholarly or popular.
Research Process
To locate these sources, I started with the UAGC (University of Arizona Global Campus)
