"Trinity Community Hospital recently conducted a comprehensive community health
needs assessment, with a specific focus on the cancer, orthopedic, and cardiovascular service
, lines within the hospital's primary service region. This extensive evaluation gathered
information from diverse sources, employing methodologies such as epidemiological surveys,
adherence to state healthcare facilities' planning guidelines, interviews with physicians and other
healthcare professionals, and engaging in community focus groups. The goal of this Community
Health Needs Assessment was to obtain a holistic understanding of the health needs within our
community, particularly in the areas of cancer, orthopedic, and cardiovascular services."

As the population ages, the demand for Oncology Services has surged. Over the next five
years, a substantial 15% of the population is expected to be over 65, with new cancer cases
projected to grow significantly by 34%. The data highlights that 33% of women and 50% of men
are likely to develop cancer in their lifetime. An evaluation of the existing resources for
Oncology Services reveals that they are already strained. State data indicates a pressing need for
additional physicians, with the current department physician operating at full capacity. The surge
