Describe Bernardo... - Answer-Is the "new," boy in town because he immigrated from
Puerto Rico to America. He also shakes hands on the rumble. He is Maria's brother.
Eventually dies in rumble by getting stabbed by Tony.
Describe Anita... - Answer-Works at the bridal shop, and is also an immigrant from
Puerto Rico. Most of the time, she directs Maria around, just to keep her safe while in
America. In the movie, she arrives to Doc's shop to get drugs for Maria and then
eventually tells the Jets that Chino killed Maria.
Describe Doc... - Answer-Doc is Tony's boss. He works at the local shop with Tony.
Most of the time in the movie, he tries to direct the Jets and Sharks towards good, not
bad. He does break up some fights.
Describe Ice... - Answer-Ice is the more serious character in the movie. Once Riff dies,
he decides to take over the Jets. In the movie, he tries to keep everyone "cool," so no
more fights occur.
Describe Chino - Answer-Chino is supposedly Maria's boyfriend, until Maria spots Tony.
Chino spreads the word to Maria in the movie that Tony killed Bernardo. In the ending of
the movie, he killed Tony, and was arrested.

guns, with hate. Well now I can kill, too, because now I have hate." What was the
Situation? What was the Significance? - Answer-Speaker: Maria
Situation: Chino killed Tony
Significance: Maria has an effect on the plot because she is saying that since they
killed, she can, kill and that leads to people thinking that she will kill someone
