Abduction - ANS-The motion away from the median plane
Adduction - ANS-A movement in frontal plane which takes a part of the frame towards the
median plane
Adductor organization - ANS-Adductor brevis, adductor longus, adductor magnus, pectineus
and gracilis
Anterior - ANS-Facing forward or positioned at the front
Anteriorposterior - ANS-Relating to each front and back
Concentric contraction - ANS-The force generated is sufficient to triumph over the resistance,
and the muscle shortens because it contracts
Deep - ANS-Inside the body or a selected bone or organ
Depression of scapulae - ANS-The scapula moves downward and fits extra snugly in opposition
to the ribcage
Distal - ANS-Further from the trunk, or some most important joint
Dorsiflexion - ANS-Flexion of the ankle
Downward rotation of scapulae - ANS-The downward turning of the scapula on its long axis as if
on a pivot
Eccentric contraction - ANS-The pressure generated is sufficient to triumph over the external
load at the muscle and the muscle fibers extend as they settlement.
Elevation of scapulae - ANS-The scapula movements upward and away from the ribcage
Extension - ANS-A motion in sagittal plane which takes a part of the body backward from
anatomical role
Flexion - ANS-A movement in a sagittal plane which takes a part of the frame forward from
anatomical role
Frontal or Coronal aircraft - ANS-Any aircraft perpendicular to the median aircraft. It divides the
body into anterior and posterior elements
Hip extensor muscle mass - ANS-Biceps femoris, semimembranous, semitendinosus and
gluteus maximus
Hip flexors - ANS-Rectus femoris, Sartoris, Psoas Major,
Illiacus, pectineus
Inferior - ANS-Facing in the direction of or positioned at the bottom
(Further from the top)
Isometric - ANS-The muscle remains the same period.
Holding an item with out moving it
Isotonic contraction - ANS-The anxiety within the muscle stays regular in spite of exchange in
muscle period
Lateral - ANS-Further from the median aircraft
Lateral flexion - ANS-For the trunk or neck, motion inside the frontal aircraft far from the median
plane
Lateral rotation - ANS-A motion in a transverse plane which takes a part of the body outward
