Binnen de economie wordt de huishouding ingedeeld in gezinshoudingen en
bedrijfshoudingen.



1.2 BEHOEFTE

Verschillende soorten behoeftes:

1. Primaire behoefte  noodzakelijk, vb.: voedsel en onderdak
2. Secundaire behoefte  dingen om het leven fijner te maken televisie,
auto, vakantie

1. Stoffelijke behoefte  smartphone
2. Onstoffelijke behoefte  theatervoorstelling (vergelijkbaar met een dienst)

1. Individuele behoefte  wordt door een individu ingevuld, vb: kleding
2. Collectieve behoefte  goede infrastructuur


Schaars  een spanning tussen de beschikbare middelen en aan de andere kant
de behoefte van een individueel.

Geld is schaars want er moeten keuzes gemaakt worden.

- Schaars goederen, ook wel alternatief aanwendbare middelen  het is uit
te geven aan tal van mogelijke alternatieven.
- Niet schaarse goederen, ook wel vrije goederen  goederen die iedereen
kosteloos kan gebruiken, zonder dat ze opgaan. Vb.: wandeling in de
buitenlucht.

SCHAARS BETEKEND DAT HET OP KAN GAAN, ZELDZAAM BETEKEND DAT ER NIET VEEL VAN IS.




1.3 WELVAART EN WELZIJN

Welvaart: de mate waarin de behoefte wordt vervuld, je kijkt alleen naar
materiële zaken en daarom wordt het ook wel welvaart in enge zin genoemd.

Welzijn: de mate van tevredenheid, dit wordt ook wel welvaart in ruime zin
genoemd.
