A. Describe the initiating process for the data migration project, which uses

The purpose of a project charter is “so the project team knows why this
project matters, where the team is headed and what the project
objective is” (Project, 2017). There are project parameters that are
required to be adhered to and utilizing a project charter will keep the
team focus and within the project boundaries. Merrilton Robotics is
looking to migrate their data center functionality to the cloud. This
directive must be completed within six months with a maximum
budget of $2 million. The awarded Managed Service Provider (MSP)
must also store all data onshore due to compliance concerns. The
project charter will provide a clear path or vision for the project, how it
benefits Merrilton and how the MSP team and the Merrilton IT team will
be working together to complete the project including ground rules.
