Pertains to players w/o residency in USA/CA/Puerto

- A 16-year-old international player can sign during
the period if the player turns 17 before Sept. 1 of this
year or by the completion of his first Minor League
season.
- An international player can be & quot;Signed for
Future Service& quot; (contract is for the following
season) if the player signs a contract July 2nd up
through the conclusion of the MLB regular season.
- In addition, a 16-year old international player who
otherwise would not be eligible to sign can be &
quot; Signed for Future Service& quot; (that is,
signed for the next season) if the player signs a
contract July 2nd through August 31st.
- Each team is allotted a bonus pool made up of four
slot values based on the team's record from
the previous year to spend on these prospects.
Clubs are allowed to trade pool money within the
period. Any signing bonuses paid to players count
against the team's bonus pool.
- Exempt: - Bonuses of $10K or less do not count
against the allotment.
- International Professionals do not count against the
allotment.
- Signing period is from July 2-June 15.
