TLALOC Tlaloc Aztec’s God of rain and
The Aztec God of rain and fertility statue. fertility artifact is carved out of
Scoria (a lava type rock) a hardened
stone with many holes on the outside
and inside of the rock. The carved
out features typically include large,
goggled eyes with contours made of
two serpents that meet at the center
of the face to form the nose. It also
has large fangs hanging from his
mouth and a protuberant upper lip.
He holds a long scepter in his hand
with a sharp tip that represents
lightning and thunder.
