Strain Pattern: Lead I, aVL, V5, V6
What is Left Ventricular Hypertrophy? What causes it? -
Answer>> Enlarged/thickened L ventricular wall. Causes by
Prolonged Hypertension, Previous cardiac event, Diabetes
What is Right Ventricular Hypertrophy? What causes it? -
Answer>> Enlarged/thickened R ventricular wall. Caused by
pulmonary etiologies: COPD, Interstitial lung disease, Pulmonary
embolism.
EKG Diagnostic Criteria: Right Ventricular Hypertrophy -
Answer>> Axis: Right
Voltage: R wave in V1 > 7mm, opposite R wave progression (V1
= pos, V6 = neg)
Strain: V1 and V2
