Primary Level - ANSWER *Health services offered at this level are to individuals in FAIR health and to
patients with diseases in the early symptomatic stages.
*These includes health care services given at family level and at the barangay level such as:
-RHU & BHS
-Main Health Center & CHHC
-OPD of hospitals
-Puericulture Centers
-Private & Semi-private agencies
Secondary Level - ANSWER -Health services offered at this level are to patients with symptomatic stages
of disease which require moderately specialized knowledge and technical resources for adequate
treatment.
-These include smaller, non-departmentalized hospitals including emergency and district, provincial,
regional government or private hospitals.
Tertiary Level - ANSWER -Services rendered at this level are for clients afflicted with diseases which
seriously threaten their health and which require highly technical & specialized knowledge, facilities and
personnel to treat effectively.
-These include highly technological & sophisticated services offered by medical centers & large hospitals
such as: central referral hospital, specialized national hospitals, medical & training hospitals.
First Level Worker (FLW) - ANSWER -Public Health Midwife (PHW)
-In-charge of services at the barrio level to provide the following services:
A. Maternal & child health care including immunizations; will refer all abnormal & high risk conditions.
