CONSIDERATION
contraindicated for women who are pregnant
consume at least 3 liters of fluid daily while taking this Rx

do not take this Rx if you are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant
long term use of glucocorticoids leads to osteoporosis
PREDNISONE - LONG TERM EFFECTS patients should be monitored regularly for adverse effects

RANITIDINE (ZANTAC) - PATIENT smoking decreases the effectiveness of this medication

causes bronchoconstriction and increased airway resistance which leads to respiratory
arrest
PROPRANOLOL (INDERAL) - ADVERSE this Rx can cause erectile dysfunction
EFFECT
ANTIDOTE FOR OPIOID OVERDOSE naloxone (Narcan)
this Rx reverses respiratory depressive effects of opioid drugs (i.e. heroin)
administer this Rx slowly
NALOXONE (NARCAN)
side effects of this Rx include:
- hypertension
- tachycardia
- nausea/vomiting
