Introduction (half a page
Overcrowded classrooms are a major problem in schools worldwide. When too
many students are in one classroom, it's hard for teachers to give each student
the attention they need, and students have a harder time learning. This isn't just a
matter of too many desks in a room; it affects how well students do in school and
how well teachers can teach.
Research has shown that when classes are smaller, students do better in school,
especially those who are already struggling (Finn & Chenoweth, 2006). But even
though we know this, many schools still have too many students in each class.
