I am therefore going to look into how information technology impacts
different companies/ organizations and the different ways in which they
could be implemented.

Information Technology’s infrastructure can be used to grow a company
through very many different ways. By taking advantage of software,
hardware, data connections, networks and emerging technologies,
Remmah’s business will find it easier to adapt and grow better and faster.
The different infrastructures of IT that can be used are described below.
1. Software
The software can be defined as a collection of instructions and data that tell
a computer how to work.
There are two major types of software and each of them has its different
function. The first one is called System Software while the second is known
as Application Software.
a) System Software
,These are software that manages and maintain the computer. Without the
system software, a computer would not be able to function.
System software is also further divided into two:
i) Operating System
This is system software that manages the hardware of the computer and
software resources, providing common services for the programs of the
computer.
Some examples of operating systems include Apple macOS, Microsoft
Windows, Android OS, Linux Operating System, and Apple iOS.
Some of the operating system functions include allocating memory to
applications, security by allowing the user to add passwords, and allowing
the user to link with the device through the User Interface (U.I), among
others.
ii) Utility Software
These are programs that carry out specific functions e.g., backup,
compression, formatting, fragmentation, etc.
Types of utility software include antivirus, file managers, and a firewall.
b) Application Software
These types of software allow the user to edit and design digital products
and perform specific tasks.
They include Office Productivity Software, Communication Software, Image,
and Video editing software, Control Software, etc.
