Structure of the Paper • Please note, ALL study units are important for the exam • The paper will consist of four (4) questions and you will have to answer two (2) questions • The exam paper is marked and totaled out of 100 therefore each question is worth 50marks • The exam paper consists of both long and short questions How to approach the long/essay questions The introduction ▪ What the question is about ▪ What you will be doing in your essay ▪ How you will be doing this ▪ Why you are doing this ▪ Therefore: A summary of your framework (Let the Introduction be brief) The body of the essay (Main focus should be on the content) ▪ The main arguments in your essay ▪ DO NOT USE THE WORD “THE BODY” AS A HEADING ▪ Make use of subheadings ▪ Paragraphs should flow logically one after the other ▪ Each paragraph should explain one idea ▪ Present convincing arguments The conclusion ▪ Brief summary of the essay ▪ Provide your opinion of the topic How to approach the short questions
