In today's presentation i'll be discussing why motivation in
a workplace is important.
The theories which i'll be discussing today are:
- Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
- Herzberg 2 Factor theory.
- Frederick Taylor Scientific theory.
- McGregor theory X and theory Y.
And
- Elton Mayo.
, Why is motivation in a workplace
important.
1. Low level of motivation will slow down labour productivity levels.
2. A motivated individual will motivate those around them.
3. Motivated staff can take responsibility of their own work.
4. High motivation in a workforce could also make it easier for businesses to attract more
employees.
