An explanation the different types of communication between care workers and service users, as well as the communication between care workers and other care workers in a care setting. There are also many communication types between different individuals that will also be discussed as they have importance in this setting, which can overall determine the trust and relationship between individuals.
The chosen theories that will be discussed are Argyle’s stages of communication and Tuckman’s stages of group interactions. This is because these theories explain how effective communication is developed within group and one to one interactions. However, the problems with these theories will also be explained as there are flaws within theories which may not develop effective communication.
